PARKOUR COACH
Portland, OR • Starting January 2, 2023
We’re looking for an enthusiastic coach who enjoys playing with kids. We’d like to meet you, whether you’ve got experience with parkour or are willing to learn. As a Coach, you will play parkour games with young people outdoors in local parks. You’ll also help the Lead Coach teach students parkour skills. We coach hundreds of students outdoors year-round, adapting to seasonal conditions with a positive, playful mindset. All coaches will receive our twelve-week Leap to Lead parkour coach training program in their first three months.
Parkour is a movement art that uses obstacles to navigate space creatively and/or efficiently. We apply skills such as running, jumping, climbing, and crawling to go under, over, and through obstacles. Parkour teaches you to play and create challenges anywhere, in both built and natural environments. It is a life-long practice with a supportive community that spans all generations and abilities.
This is a flexible, part-time position that requires a 3-month commitment to start. Position begins January 2, 2023.
