November 2020 Update on Covid Restrictions

On Sunday, Governor Jay Inslee announced new Covid restrictions to curtail rising infections across Washington state. These restrictions are crucial to saving lives and reducing the suffering caused by Covid. As an organization committed to health and well-being, we are in full support of these efforts.

We know it’s going to be hard on a lot of people, though. Movement is essential to our health, both physical and mental. How are we serving the community through this time?

The Good News

The good news is that all of our in-person classes already follow these restrictions. Small outdoor fitness classes are extremely low-risk when you take simple precautions. We will be running our youth and adult parkour classes the same as before, with small groups, masks, and distancing.

Outdoor fitness in Seattle's cooler, wetter months can be a challenge, though! We've chosen to take on this challenge with a positive, community-oriented mindset. We train together in all types of weather: wet, cold, or snowy. Read our tips for training in the rain.

For those who need or prefer to stay home, we also have online classes at PKV Moves. These include 7 live classes per week, from parkour and conditioning to bridging and handstand practice. These are available to Full and Sponsoring members. You can see the full schedule here.

Maintaining your parkour and movement practice can help create connection and relieve stress. And if we all follow the Covid guidelines closely for the next month, we’ll save lives. If you have any questions, please email our executive director Cordelia at cordelia@parkourvisions.org.
