2021 Annual Report & Letter to the Community

We’ve just released our Annual Report for 2021. Inside, you can find detailed information on our impact and financials, as well as some of our favorite photos from last year.

Below is a letter from our executive director, Cordelia Hollingsworth.

Dear Parkour Visions community,

Thanks to you, 2021 demonstrated our resiliency and creativity. In year two of the pandemic, with Covid still influencing our everyday decisions, we continued to hone our business model to pursue growth and a need for more stability. Despite the hardships, and with your support, we were able to have our strongest year since 2017, when we pivoted away from our gym space.

At the start of the year, we experimented with online programming and offered mostly private youth classes to minimize Covid risk for our families. As case numbers dropped and the cities began to reopen mid-year, our programming exploded, doubling in size from the year before. We created new partnerships with community organizations. And our new branch in Portland blossomed to reach hundreds of new students.

The growth and enthusiasm of our community attest to the deep, enduring need for outdoor movement and play. Parkour is powerful. It teaches us to adapt to our environment rather than rely on perfect conditions to move forward and grow. We have emerged more connected to each other, our community, and the outdoors.

2021 set up the foundation for us to dive more meaningfully into our mission, which we are now fulfilling in 2022 and onwards. We will continue on this path of stabilization and growth. We are thankful to you—you are our backbone.

Your partner in play,

Cordelia Hollingsworth
Executive Director
