Youth Mask Policy for Summer Camps 2022
At the beginning of April, we polled our current families to get a feel for your needs around Covid safety. We’ve decided to use the CDC Community Levels to guide our mask policy for youth summer camps. Effective June 20, 2022 (summer session):
Generally, our mask policies are based on CDC Community Levels.
Low: Masks are optional for students.
Medium: Masks are optional but encouraged. We may require masks if case numbers are very high.
High: Masks are required for students.
Every week before camp, we will assess CDC Community Levels and notify families about mask policies by email.
Coaches will have N95/KN95 masks available for students to use.
Masks are required for all coaches, as they are exposed to a high number of students.
Learn more about how the CDC assesses Covid-19 community levels.
What if the CDC Community Level changes mid-camp or before camp starts?
To keep things simple, the policy will remain the same for that week of camp, even if the CDC Community Level for our area changes.
Will private camps be allowed to follow different mask policies?
Yes, private groups can choose whether they prefer to have masks optional or required. Parents must notify the program director ahead of time so they can communicate expectations with the coach.
Thank you for your continued diligence! Together, we’ll have a fantastic parkour summer.
